With the projected entry into service in , the design was marketed as the "DC-9 Series 80". Swissair launched the Series 80 in October with an order for 15 plus an option for five. The Series 80 featured a fuselage 14 feet 3 in 4. The initial Series 80 first flew October 19, It entered service in Originally it was certified as a version of the DC-9, but was changed to MD in July , as a marketing move.
The MD versions have cockpit, avionics and aerodynamic upgrades along with the more powerful, efficient and quieter JT8D series engines, which are a significant upgrade over the smaller JT8D, , , and -9 series. The MD series aircraft also have longer fuselages than their earlier DC-9 counterparts, as well as longer range. The MD's production ended in Notably, customers such as American Airlines and Alitalia still, as of , refer to the planes in fleet documentation as "Super 80" or "SP80".

But, from what I've heard, I won't touch any of the 2 that are on the market today. One released it, so the other tried to play catch up and blew it out the door too early, it's all so weird. And, like many posters have said, I'm a little leery about buying anything from Lago. Jet City is cool, I bought some of their stuff and when I had a problem they were right there for me.

I wonder if alot of people bought the Lago plane? I mean I havent seen any screenshots of the new plane anywhere. That means now you can have the best of both products merged. Can anyone comment on the flight dynamics of the JetCity addon? I haven't ever flown any of their products. How is the pitch attitude during cruise and approach? I ought to know, I helped with it! It's clean, looks good, nice frames and works well. It slips right into those terrific Jet City planes and is free!

I like their way of working, always attentive and precise to customer requests. So I got this one for the E-Jets v3 and it's much better.
No issues here. A must have. While this package is of good value overall, I must say I'm disappointed with the quality delivered here. On the plus side, apron- and runway textures are usually very decent with accurate markings, and one does get a high number of airfields with the package.
Also there are numerous custom static aircraft with appropriate textures of French aircraft, which gives the airfields a nice touch. Howev- er, several issues across all airports make this package to be below average quality: - Most building textures are of very low resolution, they are blurry with colour artefacts and are more of a standard from back in the FSX days. This is very well visible on all hanger fronts, not just with their logos writing on them, but also with wall, window and door textures.
Why couldn't they just place them on top where they belong. So while this is undoubtably a good value when looking at the number of airfields, I can't help but wish they would have been split in several packages with slightly higher pricing, but with better quality. Model- ling, and especially building texturing is not up to the current standards and capabilities of MSFS sceneries, there's just too many low resolution building textures throughout the package.
Thi- s can still be a good package for GA flying around Paris, but be prepared to find FSX-style buildings in many places. Incredible level of detail across the entire airport. Great performance, a fantastic scenery!
