I went to the Dell downloads site but the highest Intel RST driver available for download was a version less than the version required by Windows Update. Thanks for your feedback. The error still occurs after updating RST drivers because the updated drivers do not remove or update the iastora.

Renaming the iastora. I will not do that. I find it outrageous. Intuitively I can not accept that I, a non-technical Customer, should effect a 'bailing wire and duct tape' remedy to mend a compatibility breach between technological icons Microsoft and Intel.

As a customer it is embarrassing. I freely partnered with these entities. In my view it is infinitely more reasonable, given what the 'fix' in the link you provided reveals, is that Windows Update drop this file as criteria, or that Intel define the file in concert with Microsoft's requirements.

Or, in whatever way Microsoft and Intel provide a remedy that the serves even the least technical of their customers. Anything less in unconscionable.
